Walden school bell
The school bell used at Walden School when Opal was a student.

Picture of school bell

This bell was in bell tower of the Walden School. These types of bells were used until electric bells and buzzers were invented in the 1940 's.

The teacher would pull on a long rope to make the bell ring sounding the beginning and ending of the school day.
