Picture of Opal with Butterflies on her hands

This photo is from Opal's book "The Fairyland Around Us". Opal wrote this book to teach young people about nature.

Here, Opal teaches how to attract butterflies by Putting water and sugar on your fingers. Butterflies will come for the sugar. You might try this yourself in the spring or summer when there are lots of butterflies.

Paragraph 454: Opal sees a butterfly while visiting with Dear Love
