Walden railroad bridge, 1905
The Walden railroad bridge Opal used

Walden railroad bridge, 1905

This is a photo of the railroad bridge that Opal writes about in her diary. It crossed Mosby Creek. Today another bridge stands where this wooden one was. The railroad is now a 17 mile bike path, the Row River Trail.

Paragraph 10: Opal likes to walk along the railroad track

Scene 18: Opal feeds a hungry "tramper" (a homeless person)
